Minty is a Generation 3 My Little Pony who shares her name with both G1 Minty and G4 Minty. She is a shimmery mint green pony with candy pink- and barely pink-striped hair with iridescent tinsel, violet/magenta eyes, and a green and pink peppermint candies Cutie Mark. She is one of the first eight G3 ponies released in 2003 and has a total of 11 different standard releases in seven different poses, along with Hoof Heart and Cutie Mark variations as well as several Mexican and Brazilian Hasbro-licensed releases.
Minty is featured in many G3 animated specials, where she is known for her clumsiness, cleverness, and her loves of socks and all things green.

Minty, voiced by Tabitha St. Germain, is featured in many of the G3 My Little Pony direct-to-video specials, including A Charming Birthday, A Very Minty Christmas, The Princess Promenade, A Very Pony Place, The World's Biggest Tea Party, and Meet the Ponies.
In A Charming Birthday, she is portrayed as a clumsy pony, whom Razzaroo describes as seeing “the world through green-colored glasses.” Minty visits Kimono and very cleverly presents an imaginary problem to her in order to figure out how the other ponies can surprise her on her birthday.
Minty also appears in the PC Play Pack as one of several characters the players can help to prepare for the Friendship Ball.
Minty retains her clumsiness and cleverness in A Very Minty Christmas, as well as revealing her love for socks. When she makes a mistake that she worries will ruin Christmas for all of Ponyville, Pinkie Pie convinces her to go to the North Pole to talk to Santa Claus and make everything right.

A Charming Birthday Free Video
- Minty I
Later in 2003, Minty was one of eight ponies packaged and sold with the A Charming Birthday VHS and a plastic charm bracelet to hold pony charms. The pony itself and her brush and charm are identical to the original release. The package differences are a purple heart sticker with the words "FREE VIDEO!" in white on the front flap and the VHS attached to the back of the package. The charm bracelet is held inside by plastic and encircles the pony's front hooves.

Variants
At the start of the G3 line in 2003, all ponies were released with their hoof hearts on the same sides as their Cutie Marks (display sides). This was changed, however, midway through the year. After that time, a hoof heart was printed on whichever foot held the magnet that G3 ponies produced from 2003-2006 used to activate various playset features. Because of this, Minty can be found with her heart on either front leg.
Mexican Minty
Unlike the standard figures released worldwide, these Mi Pequeño Pony figures that Hasbro licensed to third parties for production and distribution in 2006 are smaller and made of hard plastic. There are many variations of Minty and several other G3 ponies.

Brazilian Minty
In 2005, Hasbro licensed My Little Pony production to Candide for the South American market. These ponies look very different from their standard G3 counterparts and are smaller and made of a squishier vinyl. Their tails are also rooted into their bodies like all ponies' manes. (South African G1 ponies are also known for this trait.) There are two known variations for Brazilian Minty, both in a seated pose not used in any other G3 production. There were no accessories included with these ponies.
