Beginning in Year Two, Hasbro created a mail order program known as the Horseshoe Points Program. Consumers would clip the Horseshoe Points from the packages of their storebought ponies and mail them, along with a check or money order, to Hasbro in exchange for exclusive ponies and merchandise.
