Wave Dancer

Wave Dancer was one of the dolls from the My Pretty Mermaid Rainbow Mermaid series. My Pretty Mermaid Rainbow Mermaids came with an extra long rainbow stripe in their hair and their tails were decorated with three rainbow stripes. They also came with a head dress or bowtie, a fluffy vest, and a comb decorated with a starfish and rainbow.

Media Appearances:

Wave Dancer is the main character in the book "Wave Dancer is Missing". She lives in a school of mermaids who are known for being fast swimmers, but Wave Dancer's movements were so graceful that she always looked as though she were dancing. Wave Dancer and Sea Splasher are the only members of the My Pretty Mermaids toy line to have their names mentioned in the book. As team captain, Sea Splasher decides to split the team up in order to find the scavenger items. Wave Dancer is chosen to find three sunken coins. However, when Wave Dancer says she hears music that the other mermaids don't, Sea Splasher sends Dolph the dolphin to keep an eye on her. Wave Dancer, however is drawn to the music and gets caught in a fisher's net, only to be released by a sympathetic boy with a flute once the fishers have all gone to sleep. Even though she was the title character of the book, she did not have any other major media apperances. She was shown in the ads to show each mermaid, but was not included in the comercials as either doll or animated character.
