Mommy & Baby appeared in the 1990 Mattel Catalog but were never released. The figures shown in the catalog seem to have not gotten beyond the prototype phase as evidenced by the attached paper beauty marks.
Two different sets were advertised, a Puppy Set (white bodies, white hair, and red tulip beauty mark/symbol), and a Kitty Set (white bodies, pink hair, and dark yellow/orange solid daisy beauty mark/symbol). The adults would have had the same color-change features as the Polished Paws set. The babies would have been scented but with the added feature of a color-change beauty mark. The Mommy kitty also makes an appearance in the Mattel 1990 Holiday Toy Guide[1].
