This gift set came with Lila and Pinkums in their perfume bottles and a real 1 Oz. perfume bottle containing real lily-scented perfume. In catalogs this set is called "Cologne Gift Set" but actual packaging uses the name "Perfume Kitties Gift Set". The shape and color of the real perfume bottle is different than what was shown in the catalogs which was golden and read "Dazzling Dream Cologne" on the bottle - the actual released version of the bottle was red with a purple bow lid and read "Little Pretty Fragrance".

Media Appearances

Lila as well as the Gift Set appeared in the 1990 Mattel Catalog (pages 87, 90, 91, 94). The release of Lila and the Gift Set both differ from the catalog version - the figure is the same but Lila is show in a pink perfume bottle on one page and near a blue bottle on another. The Gift Set shows the "real" perfume bottle with a very different shape and color from that of the release version. ^[2] The Gift Set is also shown in the Mattel Girls Toys 1990 Repro Art Book^[3]. Lila also makes an appearance in the Mail Order Pamphlet^[4].
