Actually the Fairy Tails have a *little* bit of canon.  They had some segments in the "My Little Pony & Friends" G1 comic.  However, rather than living in a fantasy world like Glo Friends, MLP, or the Moondreamers, the stories about Fairy Tails were more along the lines of "Toy Story".  It was about little kids who owned the Fairy Tails (as toys), and when the kids weren't looking the Fairy Tails would come to life and help them out somehow.
