Lancer is a quiet and shy pony who likes reading and roller skating, though he dreams of becoming an explorer. He has a crush on [[Bright Eyes Tales|Bright Eyes]] and will sometimes side with the girls in order to impress her. In one episode, he temporarily takes on a bad boy appearance to try to convince Bright Eyes to enter a roller derby, being too shy to ask her outright. The two end up insulting each other, but make up and win the roller derby together.
