Princess Cadance first appeared in the episode "A Canterlot Wedding: Part 1". She is the adopted niece of Princess Celestia and the former foal-sitter to Twilight Sparkle, whom Cadance is still close to. She has the magical ability to awaken rekindle feelings of love in other ponies. She married Twilight Sparkle's brother Shining Armor. In "A Canterlot Wedding, Cadance is imprisoned by Queen Chrysalis, who then impersonates Cadance before being defeated. Princess Cadance later becomes Princess of the Crystal Empire.
Princess Cadance is voiced by Britt McKillip.
