It's important to note that during transitions between generations there is sometimes overlap between the two transitioning generations in their merch. For instance, there was a set of playing cards that had G4 characters on the cards themselves, but G5 ponies on the box art.
This set was released in 2022 by Spin Master LTD. and distributed by Greenbrier International, Inc..

In the game you play as Sunny Starscout walking around Maretime Bay on Maretime Bay Day. Sunny can walk and jump around, but she can also put on her roller skates to go even faster. There is a yellow butterfly sprite that guides the player if the player starts getting off track, and magenta stars, called "magic bits," scattered throughout the game for the player to pick up.
During the game, the player does small sidequests and minigames, and there is an overarching plot that Sprout has been causing issues and creating disharmony, which ultimately leads to the player as Sunny chasing him down in the last minigame.
Once the game is completed, you have the chance to replay five of the minigames from the game in the main menu by picking them from a carousel of options. You can also explore the world all over again to revisit any minigames and magic bits you missed on your first playthrough.

During the game, you can unlock outfit options for Sunny based on how many magic bits you collected, and you can try them on by going to special mirrors. These will change how Sunny looks during regular gameplay and in cutscenes.
There are five locations in the game, with a total of 1,936 magic bits to collect. Most of these are scattered around the map, while some of these are earned through the minigames by getting 1, 2, or 3 out of 3 stars.
Playing the game through Steam also came with 13 Steam achievements:

Through the game on Steam there were also Steam profile backgrounds and chat emoticons that could be purchased with Steam points.
Steam also has a system where digital trading cards could be earned when games are bought and played, and A Maretime Bay Adventure had seven possible trading cards to discover showing Pipp, Zipp, Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, alicorn Sunny, and Queen Haven.

Sunny's friends are excited for the Zephyr Heights Gala coming up. However, the friend group gets separated in the hustle and bustle of the city. Sunny and Hitch are also on a mission of their own. Earlier that day, they had gotten a letter from Misty saying that magic is acting strange in Zephyr Heights, and it turns out that she was right; magic anomalies are appearing here, there, and everywhere. Sunny, and eventually all her friends as the player finds them throughout the city, work together to clean up the messes, find the cause of the anomalies, and enjoy the Gala.
This game can have up to two players play at the same time, and either player can switch between any unlocked character as long as they aren't playing the same character as the other player. There are unique animations and abilities for each character. For example, Hitch can ram through boxes, barrels, and some walls, and Pipp and Zipp can create clouds to walk across.
Just like in the first game, there are magic bits to collect and there is a butterfly sprite that can lead the player to where they need to be. The butterfly is smaller and the trail it leaves is much brighter than in the previous game. Also like the previous game, there are mirrors that lead to screens where players can customize the characters' outfits. This game also has an added option of unlocking furniture and colors to customize the Crystal Brighthouse.
