Kayou released multiple waves of trading cards.

Unlike Enterplay's multiple series of trading cards, where buying a particular pack would get you a particular series (ex. buying a pack of Series 3 cards would get you Series 3 cards only) the Kayou cards were released in waves. Certain series of cards could be in specific packs, but the main ones would release in a section at a time. Theoretically, one wave could have the first 20 or so of F/T/HR/etc. cards, and the next wave could have the next 20 or so F/T/HR/etc. cards. And later waves could have reprints of previous cards in their booster packs. The cards listed here will just be listed by series of cards and not separated by wave.

Along with cards being released in packs in booster boxes, they could come with special binders and other products, and could even come with snack foods, like chocolates, and other types of merchandise, like acrylic stands.

These cards are primarily Chinese. In 2025, Kayou expanded the cards globally so that other language cards could be available.

The back of basic character cards would have basic information about the pony - the name in Chinese and English, their race / gender / element or job / cutie mark, a picture of the cutie mark, and a small description of the pony.

Other series of cards could have just a logo and pattern, or nothing at all, in the case of the TR cards.
