The first six ponies that Hasbro released in Year One of My Little Pony's history - Blossom, Blue Belle, Butterscotch, Cotton Candy, Minty and Snuzzle.
They all had basic colour schemes and stood in the same pose, known as the 'Collector Pose'.
The infamous My Little Pony theme tune was first heard in a TV commercial advertising these ponies which can be seen on Youtube - [1]
"My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
I comb and brush her hair.
My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
Tie a ribbon to show how much I care.
My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
I take her wherever I go.
My Little Pony, My Little Pony,
Oh, I love her so."
